Havoline® Formula SAE 15W-40 is a highly shear-stable, multigrade gasoline engine oil formulated using selected base oils and performance additives. It is designed for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles requiring API SP or earlier gasoline engine oil specifications, subject to the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.

Its advanced additive technology helps protect against engine wear, control high-temperature piston and ring deposits, maintain engine cleanliness, and reduce oil degradation under demanding operating conditions. The formulation also provides protection against low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in compatible gasoline direct-injection engines, where applicable.
